Did you recently buy a new mattress and are wanting to properly dispose of your used one?

Give Bed Busters a call. Bed Busters is a small owner run San Francisco mattress recycling company.

They separate the wood, foam, fiber and steel from each bed to make use of it for other things such as carpet padding and other items. Their mission is to keep mattresses out of landfills, and since in the US some 40 million mattresses end up in the trash each year, a worthy mission it is.

One cool thing about Bed Busters is that they are reusing some of the mattress parts and making planter boxes out of them. Pretty cool.

Also the owner Alter Nathan is looking to expand his mattress recycling operation and is asking for help on his website, he is asking you to join him in his mission to keep mattresses out of landfills.

If you live in or near San Francisco give BedBusters a try. Price goes from $48 to $88.

P.S. Discount alert – If you’re a Keetsa customer – you get 10% off pick up and recycling services. Present your receipt at time of pick up within 30 days of purchase.
