Saving The World One (Recycled) Pizza Box At A Time
We Americans love love love pizza and we love it to the tune of 3.5 billion sold annually in the US.
But what about the eco part of all that pizza consumation? Pizza itself can be eco friendly when lots of veggies are served, and or organic ingredients used, etc. But what about the serving and storage part?
That’s where the E.C.O. recycled pizza box comes in. The box is made using recycled paper with no new virgin paper needed at all. The box is also creating a good bit of buzz as it very coolly becomes a series of plates and even a storage container when split apart. This is the brainchild idea of recent MBA grad (and eco champion) Jennifer Wright. She wanted to create a product with sustainability in mind, and after careful research (and many pizza’s later), she came up with the idea for an eco pizza box.
The video above captures the ease and simplicity of the idea behind the box, and also how it looks and works like a traditional pizza box.
