Second life to host anti fur protest
Starting on the 12th July 2007 animal rights organization PETA and Stella McCartney are holding a virtual anti fur protest on Second Life.
On a dedicated island there will be goodie bags for visitors to spread the word amongst the other seven million inhabitants of Second Life, there will also be a picnic where there will be Linda McCartney mini veggie burger stalls, live DJ’s, plus information tree house run by Stella McCartney and PETA. The island has been designed to resemble the English countryside, with stables, horse jumps, lakes and picnics tables.
There is also a contest to find the best Anti Fur Slogan, these will appear all over the island and the winning slogan will be pick by Stella McCartney and the top three will win:
First prize: two tickets to the Spring-Summer 2008 fashion show in Paris in October. Second prize: a Fall-Winter Appaloosa bag. Third prize: a full set of CARE by Stella McCartney, the first luxury organic skincare line, containing 100 per cent organic active ingredients.
