Water bottles are handy especially when storing and refilling water and some other beverages when you are on the go. But with this special bottle, you may no longer have to refill it with water since some scientists have reportedly come up with a way to allow the water bottle to refill itself via the air we breathe.
Apparently the scientists drew inspiration from the Namib Desert Beetle. The beetle has a shell that is covered in bumps that allows humidity in the air which accumulates and later on turns to water droplets. The droplets eventually drop and go towards the mouth of the insect to survive.
NBD Nano is taking advantage of this technology to create a water bottle that can continually fill itself up. The company hopes to have the water bottle on the market by 2014.
