Socially Responsible, Eco Friendly, and Electric Cars @ Pizzeria?

by Missy on Friday, June 1st, 2007

In the business world, there are people who run and manage businesses, and then there are mavericks, like Pete Bonahoom, of Minneapolis. Pete, 29, who is the face and creative force behind a pizzeria, like no other.

The idea for Galactic Pizza, came to Pete from a deep desire to help people and contribute in socially responsible ways as an entreprenuer.

Consider this:

  • deliveries are made by an employees who drive three-wheeled electric cars
  • the pizza’s are made with organic locally grown ingredients
  • hemp is used on the paper menus
  • the restaurant’s packaging material is recyclable or biodegradable
  • the food waste is recycled at pig farms
  • they even have an energy program in place where customers can purchase wind power credits. Galactic Pizza is entreprenurial resolve mixed with social responsibilty at its best. I wonder if the pizza is any good? Maybe Pete will chime in and send us a few slices.
