Jackson Browne’s Eco-Friendly Guitars

by Brian on Sunday, November 25th, 2007

Jackson Browne

Rarely would you see dedication from artists and personalities as far as their stuff is concerned. Normally, it would all be about green movements and programs to which they would be seen helping out. However, for Jackson Browne, a future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame candidate, emphasis on the eco-friendly guitars he uses is something for the books.

Music can be made from any instrument today. But finish and make are two things that can be compromised for artists who are inclined to help out in the green issues we hear of today.

(Source: Ecorazzi)Browne stressed the importance of “the environment and the things that we all share together in our lives” to create music and art, in general. He is a collector of Gibson’s line of guitars that are made out of responsibly harvested woods, and has played them at benefits put on by the Gibson Foundation, which also supports the Environmental Defense and the Rainforest Alliance.
