Solar powered planes record
A lightweight solar powered plane built by UK firm Qinetiq has beaten the world record for an unmanned flight. The Zephyr stayed in the air for 54 hours, which means that this solar powered plane actually stayed in the air through two nights.
This is a great achievement for the company, but there was just one slight problem with the record flight, the people that maintain the world records failed to show because they say that they were given the wrong date or time. And therefore the record did not stand.
