Some great uses for Vinegar

by David Allen on Friday, May 16th, 2008

Open up any kitchen cupboard and you are bound to find a bottle of vinegar in there somewhere but apart from putting it on your fries or salad, there are many other uses for the strange and smelly liquid.

Ten great things to do with Vinegar:

Removing stubborn coffee stained cups and pots.

Storing cheese

Cleaning the floor

Cleaning windows

Killing garden weeds

Relieving the pain of sunburn

Making your tights last longer

Relieving a cough

Removing stubborn stains from fabric and clothes

Cleaning toys

So with all of these uses, perhaps it may be a good idea to get down the superstore and begin to stock up a few more bottles of vinegar!

  • I'll try it on my sunburn. This is good info. Thanks
  • You can clean a clogged bathtube with it too. You need baking soda (hydroxide) and vinegar (acid) and their chemical reaction does it all.
  • I have used it on sunburns, it works well.
  • My wife is the queen of vinegar. Our house oft times smells of the stuff. At first I was a bit repulsed, but I tell you, after a while, you hardly notice it. And the knowledge that we're putting less harmful chemicals in the air and down the drain when cleaning our house is a definite comfort. It's also kind of cool being able to cook with what you just used to clean the rangetop with!
