Starbucks To Increase Fair Trade Coffee Purchases
It was not that long ago when the world’s largest coffee store Starbucks were being attacked for the amount of water that they waste every year (Six million gallons per day) through their running water system. But now they are in the media for something completely different.
They will be doubling their supply of Fair Trade coffee, last year it was twenty million pounds, while next year it will be forty million pounds. This arrangement makes the coffee store the largest buyer of Fair Trade coffee in the world. The great thing about this coffee is that it does not work out much more expensive that regular coffee, which is good news for all.
