Stressed? Try Eco-Therapy
A new study released by Mind, a mental health research group, suggests that eco-therapy can help soothe your mind and body. Activities like gardening, taking nature walks, and doing conservation work “is a clinically valid treatment for mental distress.”
The report promotes accessibility to green space. Additionally, it says
Ecotherapy is a natural, free and accessible treatment that boosts our mental wellbeing. Whether it’s a horticultural development programme supervised by a therapist or a simple walk in the park, being outdoors and being active is proven to benefit our mental health.
So what are you waiting for? Take a mental health day and get gardening! The weather is certainly right for it!
