Suits Made From Plastic Bottles

by David Allen on Friday, April 3rd, 2009

It should come as no surprise to find that these days plastic drink bottles can be recycled into a fabric that is, in turn, made into clothing. Normally we would associate this material with fleeces, but the US division of Teijin Fibers Ltd of China are producing a line of men’s fashion suits.

The company has currently secured a working partnership with the retail group Sears to produce a range of private label suits using a material that is a blend of the recycled plastic bottle material and wool.

This range of suits will have a price range of $175 for the jacket and $75 for a pair of trousers. These suits are fully machine washable which is a huge saving in both time and money.
