NTUC FairPrice

NTUC FairPrice has opened its first eco-friendly supermarket at City Square Mall at Kitchener Road in Singapore, offering over 400 biodegradable and environment friendly products. As an incentive, NTUC FairPrice is opening special check-out lanes for shoppers who come with their own shopping bags. For the people who want to recycle some stuff, a can and plastic bottle recycling machine is also available in return for vouches. FairPrice said it costs 30 per cent more to set up the eco-friendly supermarket which aims to make consumers more aware of eco-friendly practices.
