The New Yorker smallholder
New York City does not strike you as being the sort of place where a person no matter how committed could actually build a small holding in his yard which he believes should be able to enable him to live a sustainable life, well food wise!

Manny Howard has built a small city farm in his back in the suburbs of Brooklyn; he thinks that he and his family could live on the produce for an entire month. But he does have a vegetable plot, potato beds, a hen and rabbit run, plus a “Barn” where he keeps all of the animal feed etc, all in a mere 800 sq feet!
Good luck to him and anyone who wants to live the green life.
