Toronto’s Hydrogen Village at The Ex!
The Canadian National Exhibition will have a new display known as the “eco-condo.” The exhibit will feature a condo fuelled by wind generated by hydrogen. Using four hydrogen fuel cell utility vehicles, which are run by a 750 kw wind turbine, the condo will be fully functional.
Additionally, the hydroeng generated will provide heat for 12 nearby townhouses, a delivery van, the Bell Canada swtichboard back-up power and power a downtown internet provider.
The Ex will also have a green zone, featuring tons of environmentally- themed exhibits focused on educating the public about sustainable energy and environmentally friendly ways of living.
