Well i think the constituon really has nothing to do with this case. Of course, he is free to buy whatever vehicle he likes, however, if i am going around calling myself a vegetarian, and i write on a vegetarian blog. Surely you dont want to see me hogging down a big ole Big Mac. Do you? That would be hypocritical of me. No?

He chose to air this news. (it's not like he was outed) But he wrote about it on a well known and uber popular site. TreeHugger. Go figure!

Alex, there are several viewpoints here. One is why support the non-eco SUV industry. Another being that there are other (more greener) SUV's, that are roomy and safe. Which was his argument, it was the only "safe and roomy" SUV for his family.

I'm not knocking his choice, but others sure are displeased with the decision. I will tell you i was surprised by it, though. Yes.

He's only doing 6k miles a year. At that rate, he couldve gotten a hummer..I mean he barely drives the car, so i dont think it matters much.

I think this is his choice. He shouldn't have to tell the public about what kind of car he buys. (even though he works for treehugger, he is free to buy the most gas guzzling car in the world... constitution i believe thats what its called...freedom is more important I think in this case)
