UK Government Sets Up £100 Eco Fund

The UK government has set up a fund to be known as Low Carbon Vehicle Integrated Regional Delivery Programme. It is estimated to be worth around £100 ($200) million and funds will be available for the research and development of eco friendly vehicles.

Companies in the north of England are expected to be able to claim the major part of this fund, which runs over a five year period. This region is already home for low pollution vehicle production therefore; it makes sense that they will be getting a major share in the fund to further this good work.
