USB chargeable batteries.

by David Allen on Sunday, June 10th, 2007

It the UK it is estimated that only around 2% of disposable batteries are recycled, in fact most are unaware that they actually can be recycled at all, what this means is that there are almost 30,000 tons of these batteries being disposed of each year, possibly in landfill sites. Imagine what the figure would be in the US?

usb batteries

Rechargeable batteries are the answer, but even with these there is the chargers etc, so why not recharge the batteries through the USB port on the computer? It is handy fast and easy to do, as all you need to do is remove the cap of the battery and place it into the USB port, it could not be easier.
