Use Aluminum over Wood or Steel

by Brian Yalung on Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Aluminum

The next time you want something built, consider the raw materials used. Apparently, the immediate manner of thinking would be to resort to the usual wood or steel materials but if given a choice, you can now consider Aluminum which is one of the most abundant elements in the earth’s crust and an ideal material to use for sustainable buildings.

Now you may be thinking how you can integrate aluminum into your building of a home. Well all it takes is creativity and proper designation. With architects and eco-designers at your service, you can really put them into good use if you really think about it.

“Aluminium is a durable building material. Aluminium window frames of 30 mm to 40 mm with a 12 mm glass, can withstand wind pressure in high-rise buildings. Besides it is sound proof,” explains Mohammed Faizel A P of The Aluminium Gallery, a franchisee of Hindalco.
