Use Cargo Bikes instead of your SUV for Daily School drop-offs

With a recent price hike in gas prices, it might be a great idea for you to drop your kids to school on a cargo bike instead of your gas guzzlin’ SUV or van.
The popularity of the machines is likely to have been boosted by Richmond raising the cost of a parking permit for a large-engined “gas guzzler” to £150. It is also considering charging £75 for an annual permit to drop children off at school by car.
Tony Juniper, director of Friends of the Earth, said he had bought his wife a cargo bike for Christmas: ‘We’ve been trying to cut down on car use and this is perfect for shopping and carrying heavier goods. We even take our youngest to chess matches.’

That is a hoot! I couldn’t really get through the snow in these but how cool. If I lived in the city I would so be using one of these. You could easily pimp it up and go glam with it so that the moms would want to be like you. Before you know it moms would be competiting for who had the nicest SUV bike! LOL!
