Vans Warped Tour Gets Greener
The Vans Warped Tour has been trying to introduce new eco-initiatives to the tour every year, in hopes of not only becoming a more environmentally-friendly space, but to spread the message of eco-awareness.
The 2007 tour is no different. The Vans Warped Tour Press release states
The tour will continue to implement and develop its “Warped Eco Initiatives” (WEI), including: biodiesel fuel for touring trucks and buses, environmentally friendly catering for bands and crew courtesy of Tada Catering and a solar-powered sound system. In 2007, Warped will also team with Philippe Cousteau’s environmental organization Earth Echo International, which “empowers individuals to take action to sustain and enhance our water planet.” [Tour founder and producer, Kevin] Lyman and the Vans Warped Tour strive to develop multiple ways to help the environment and create awareness through action.
