Walmart Sustainability Index – What Does It Mean?
Walmart is coming out with a massive “sustainability index” to label each and every product they sell, to measure its environmental impact.
This of course is a huge endeavor and one that Walmart has been working on for over a year.
Once completed, many industry observers are saying that it will serve as a model to other retail leaders on how to measure an eco footprint.
Expect the sustainability index to be completed within the next year or so.
