Washing the eco friendly way
When you mention washing clothing in an eco friendly way, this conjures up images of kneeling down by the river and washing your clothes in the cool running water. But if you were to take a look at the Eco Washing Machine from Fisher and Paykel, then you are likely to change your mind.
The machine is as convenient as a regular machine, but washes as if you were doing it by hand. The machine uses only enough water to cover the clothes and this water together with the detergent is re-circulated to reduce waste. It uses a direct drive motor which has hardly any moving parts and therefore has fewer problems with breakdowns.

This is a great company producing great products - we have used their whiteware at our house for years with hardly ever any problems - washer, dryer, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.
