What is the deal with the Lead Paint Issue?

Apparently, one of the leading reasons why most of the China-made toys are being recalled is the hazards that the lead paint used in presenting those striking colors in toys that make them attractable to children today. Ingestion of the said health dangerous paint can go as far as bringing behavioral problems and long-term disabilities.

A lot of these lead paint-based toys and materials used pose a serious threat as it may find its way to the blood stream and lead to lead poisoning in people. It is a highly toxic and was actually banned in 1978. In reality a lot of houses today still have this said toxic substance.
