Yokohama Tire Launched And It’s Made From Orange Peel Oil
The Yokohama tire pictured above is made using orange peel oil and according to engineers is 80% petroleum free.
The tire was conceived after race car drivers were looking for a tire that was stickier, after research it came about that orange peel oil is one of “the most stickiest natural products around”.
An interesting aside is that the available tire sizes on the Yokohama E-Spec tire, match all the top eco friendly cars currently on the market, including the Toyota Prius, the Honda Insight and a few others.
