Batteries have undergone a mass transformation as of late, mostly on how they can be used longer and the manner on how they would be recharged. Now it seems that Donald Sadoway is on the verge of creating a first-ever battery that can store renewable energy, a new power storing solution that should be welcomed in open arms.
Sadoway and his team over at MIT are working towards developing such a battery, using materials derived directly from the earth and being manufactured through extremely inexpensive methods that don’t harm the earth or deplete its resources.
The whole idea seems advanced but you can bet that should they finally apply the finishing touches, these are batteries surely worth having and perhaps resolve the growing e-waste problems that standard batteries usually render these days. Check out the video below.
