One thing about batteries which power popular gadgets is that they require a certain amount of time to be recharged and useful once more. But if this chemistry professor’s discovery proves to be consistent, then a fast recharging battery (within minutes) may yet be possible.
Amy Prieto, a chemistry professor over at the Colorado State University has reportedly come up with a special kind of battery. Although the battery is still in the development stages, the Prieto Battery promises to hold twice the power of conventional batteries and can be recharged within five minutes.
The battery is said to be eco-friendly and does not make use of harmful toxins as most batteries have, something which require special treatment to make sure that they are disposed of properly.
