Hive Battery Concept

by Brian Yalung on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

Batteries bunched in a way to serve as authentic and specially made energy-serving sources are nothing new although their shapes may vary depending on the requirement of manufacturers. Nevertheless, here is a new shaped battery for you called the Hive Battery Concept.

The intention is good although the need to figure out which company would actually make use of them is another. The battery was designed by Seong-Hoon Jeong and Jin-Young Yoon, offering batteries binded in a hexagonal shape that could help some gadgets save as far as overall shape is concerned, not to mention seeing them stay in one place compared to the traditional cylindrical shapes that could roll here and there and eventually become discarded.

The Hive Battery concept affords tight coupling, no gaps and reduces the space and materials needed to wrap individual packs, something that should make them unique and in a way sensible for people seeking better ways to keep batteries put.
