Bio-Kelp Speakers from Samsung

by Brian Yalung on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

After many choices of which materials to use for their speakers, it seems that Samsung has finally come to the decision on which to use. The verdict? Bio-Kelp.

Kelp Speakers are one of the notable items present at the last Consumer Electronics Show and apparently it seems that Samsung has finally settled down on what material can truly maintain their drive towards delivering quality sounds that require fast response time and natural tonal balance.

Samsung claims kelp is a perfect material for speakers, because it has a very fast response time and a natural tonal balance. That means you should have decreased noise and distortion when listening to your favourite music or movies. Apparently, the key to bio-kelp’s success is that the density between fibre tissues is quite high, which is supposed to result in better clarity.

  • Interesting, most of the speakers we use are mostly made from cardboard. Of course after a while they start breaking down and causing buzzing and trembling noises. Will look forward to seeing how these kelp speakers hold up.
