These days, headphones are making a comeback especially since most consumers have a knack of keeping themselves musically entertained with tunes that isolate them from the everyday murmurs and noises that leave a lot to be desired.
But the thing is that wherever they may be connected, media players have limitations as far as power supply is concerned. The batteries have their share of being drained, especially for the folks who frequently use them or listen to tunes during the day. But these OnBeat Solar headphones should address that problem.
The headphones actually act as chargers themselves. The headphones come wrapped with flexible solar panels that generate energy each time they are used outdoors and with the sun up and shining.
The solar panel that wraps around the top of the OnBeat headphones feeds into a rechargeable battery that can be used to charge mobile gadgets. The solar cell has a surface area of 55cm3 with a charge capacity of approximately 0.55W although it wasn’t divulged on how much energy it could produce.
