Running out of juice as far as phones and maybe even tablets are concerned can certainly be a bummer but for the folks over at New York, that issue may very well be put to rest soon. That is if these Street Charging Stations hold true to their word and are adopted soon.
Looking like familiar lamp posts, these Street Charging Stations should be a neat solution, something designed by Pensa and Goal Zero in a joint effort with AT&T. The said project has already kicked off after Superstorm Sandy left many folks without means of energy, a solution that relies on solar power.
Initially launched in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park, the Street Charge stations are expected to pop up at Coney Island, Riverside Park, Randall’s Island, Governor’s Island and Union Square Park.
