The timing couldn’t have been better to launch the the LG Optimus Elite, a reported eco-friendly phones which became available starting April 22. Tagged as the successor for the LG Optimus S, the said handset will boast of a casing made from 50% recycled plastic and is free from harmful chemical such as PVC, halogens and mercury among others.
The phone consumes only about 0.03 watts of power when plugged in for charging while the casing is said to be recyclable while prints were made using soy ink.
As for the specs of the said handset, the LG Optimus Elite will come with an Android 2.3 OS, a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen, an 800 MHz processor and a 5MP camera at the back.
The LG Optimus Elite will be offered for about $29.99 when purchased on a 2-year service agreement.
