MiniWIZ's Solarbulb made from Used Plastic Bottles

by Brian Yalung on Friday, January 16th, 2009

If you are thinking of a good way to make use of used plastic bottles, try out this new idea. Why not make a Solar LED lamp from it? With a lamp that can fully charge up to 4 hours, this cool quirky looking gadget was spotted at the CES. And it only costs $25 each.

The coolest part is that the weather proof lamp then screws into any left over plastic water or soda bottle you have lying around to create a nice diffuse light for your living room or garden. The light can be amplified by adding water to the bottle.

So if you have lots of plastic bottles around your place, check out this nifty concept. It can even brighten up your home or your room.

  • I love how they incorporate two eco-friendly ideas in one, solar power and recycling water bottles. At $25 the value is great you would pay at least that much for another solar powered garden lamp.
