Green Marriage Gowns
It all comes to a point where a couple will tie the knot and live in union under the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. But while such is an option we have, women have this knack of designing the ideal gowns to make the occasion as memorable as possible. As far as having wedding gowns done, new ways of getting married is no longer a matter of having expensive gowns sewn for you. You can make use of old dresses like perhaps your old ball dress and improve on them. Some people are practical since with these hard times, you have to be economical in everything including marriage rites.
The important thing is getting married with the one you want to be with you for the rest of your life. Others may want to uphold the usual tradition but today, it is no longer a matter of looking good. Recycling wedding gowns can even create new modes of getting married attire. You save on cost and are also starting a whole new wave of fashion trends with what your creative mind can do.
Now that her own eco wedding is over, Marsh is helping other brides and grooms by holding the first Eco Wedding & Lifestyle Show in Toronto, which brings together everything from shoe companies to floral designers.
“There are more and more sustainable and organic fabrics out there and sourcing them has become easier for designers,” Marsh says. “Also, having multiple pieces to your wedding outfit will allow you to wear and reuse the top with different bottoms later.”
If a light-coloured dress is made from natural fabrics, Marsh suggests getting a professional to dye it so you can wear it to another event later on.
