A special exhibition in Bangalore India is taking place to promote women entrepreneuers and women made products.
Lots of cool items are on display including shawls, jewelry made from seeds (pictured above) and all sorts of goodies aimed at women made by women.
Here is an exhibition by women, but not just for women. District Industries Centre (DIC), Bangalore Urban district, in collaboration with the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Karnataka (AWAKE), kicked off a seven-day exhibition-cum-sale, “Kalakruthi Utsava 2011”, at the Safina Plaza on Infantry Road here on Monday. On display, and for sale, are products manufactured or designed by women entrepreneurs, mostly from small scale enterprises.
A total of 55 stalls have been put up with the sole aim of providing a market place for the products manufactured by women entrepreneurs and to promote them. Timed perfectly, just ahead of the festive season, there are many Deepavali goodies too.
What a great way to promote women in small business and also to showcase eco friendly wares to locals.
