New Balance Unveils Eco-Friendly Shoes

New Balance has been quiet for some years. For the people who are not aware, New Balance is one of the key players in the athletic shoes in the market. They have apparently taken the backseat from frontrunners Nike and Reebok, but hopefully this new eco-friendly athletics shoe will once again raise their falling fortunes.

The upper components in the New Balance 70 contain 75 percent of these – recycled polyester in the laces, webbing and shoe saddle, rice husks filler in the outsole that reduce the amount of rubber and fewer solvents than traditional materials. The bottom of the shoe is recycled from a previous shoe and the “upper” doesn’t have the support New Balance builds into its other jogging shoes.

The New Balance 70 has a suggested price of $80 and is available at nationwide and online at their site.
