Bad news for chocoholic veggies
As from the 1st October 2007 some chocolate and ice cream products are no longer going to be suitable for vegetarians, was that a sigh that I just heard there!
Master foods the UK producer of Mars, Twix, Snickers, Maltessers, Bounty Milky Way, Minstrels and of course the Ice Cream versions of the same chocolate bars, say that from the date given these products will not be considered suitable for vegetarians, this is because they will be using a product called Rennet, which is produced somehow from the stomach of a calf, will be used in the production of those products, nice!
There is going to be many disappointed people out there in October, just at the beginning of winter too.
