Ice cream goes eco friendly
It has to said, “How on earth can you make ice cream, eco friendly?” Well clearly you can only use organic ingredients, but according the Scottish ice cream maker Mackie, they are just about to start production of the eco friendly ice cream.
The company has just spent £2.5 million on three wind turbines which will power the Mackie factory with 100% renewable energy. The energy produced will be enough to completely cover all the power required to make all of the company’s ice cream, plus enough over to supply the national grid with enough energy to supply a thousand homes with electricity.
So, now you know how you make ice cream eco friendly, it’s not the ice cream, it’s the way you make it.
