Sea Levels Rising Faster than Calculated

After the onslaught caused by Hurricane Sandy, you know for a fact that a wakeup call with regards to the issue of climate change and global warning is a must. But with new scientific studies revealing that sea levels are rising higher than expected, the issue at hand seems to be going from bad to worse.
Collecting data from a satellite, US mathematician Grant Foster and German climatologist Stefan Rahmstorf found that the towns by the East and West Coast are among the hotspots which have water levels rising twice the rate compared to that of the rest of the planet.
The startling news means millions more people are at risk of suffering unprecedented damages from flooding caused by future storms, more than about half of the current U.S. population in over 285 cities.
