Avia Marees Sustainable Gas Station

Ideally, the rant these days is to come up with electric charging stations to juice up the coming of electric vehicles. But at the pace we are going, it may take some time before the number of stations to be put up has been achieved.

Hence this means that gas stations are still in need so perhaps the next best thing about being sustainable is to make them as ecofriendly and sustainable as possible.

Something perhaps like the Avia Marees Gas Station, said to be the world’s most sustainable gas station to date. Knevel Architecture is behind the said green gas station, something which takes up 4,290 square meters of area and makes use of prefabricated timber units leading of an array of ecofriendly features.

Other than those timber panels, the gas station makes use of tanks that dispense both conventional and biofuels, office and car wash are all enclosed by a folded envelope. The cladding on the sides is layered, featuring timber slats covering red panels, ensuring a bold but understated blending of the built and natural environment.
