Goats on Green Roof at Al Johnson’s
At a famous Swedish restaurant in Door County, Wisconsin goats are lounging around and grazing on a green roof. The eatery is Al Johnson’s and this is a long standing tradition with the restaurant, not to mention a nice tourist attraction.
The goats according to the owner, are placed up on the roof in the morning via a ramp and then brought down around 5pm or so. The roof has a full grass lawn and it even gets mowed and manicured like a regular lawn.
I would imagine the goats love the room, sun, attention, and outdoor air. The tourists can’t get enough of them, as they take photos and stare at the animals before and after their Swedish meals.
I just hope the sweet goats aren’t part of the “menu”.
