Who says that creating something architectural would have to be that sophisticated and technical? Well take it from Ryuei Nishizawa of Japan who was able to come up with the sacred Fukita Shrine over at the Shodoshima Island using just two sheets of metal.
The Fukita Pavilion makes use of two curved metal sheets, one resting on the surface while the other floating above while being pierced through a tree.
The pavilion was created as part of the Setouchi Arts Festival, a place made for folks to pray and/or relax. A curved metal bench and space allows folks to surrender their shoes first before going in to the pavilion, a perfect spot for folks who want some peaceful time out any day.
