Well, another solar powered piece has been put up in Lake Tahoe – all to the credit of CCS Architecture who are responsible for the Alpine Meadows Cabin.
The said cabin is a two-storey structure that makes use of active and passive solar design. Among the features that the said cabin boasts of include that of natural ventilation, thermal mass and a rooftop solar system which makes it one of the energy-efficient cabins that should give inhabitants the sufficient necessities for their stay.
The Alpine Meadows Cabin is located on sloping, south-facing lot with views out towards the mountains on the northwestern side of Lake Tahoe. The home carries maximized views of the lot and of course to make it easier to collect energy through the sun’s rays.
The lower floor contains a bedroom, bathroom, recreation, and study room, while the main living space is locate on the top floor along with the master bedroom, and bath.
