Views From a Crystal House

by Brian Yalung on Thursday, September 25th, 2008

There is no better way to appreciate nature and surroundings other than to try out this Crystal House released by Hacienda Matapalo which provides a 360 view of the Rain Forest and all the beauty and creatures that nature has to offer. Design by multi-awarded designer Miguel Wong, the Crystal House boasts of the best that Coast Rica Real Estate has to offer.

As a home owner, it places emphasis on transparency and actually living what the environment is all about. It is surrounded by the sanctuary of a private 125 acre nature preserve, waterfalls, and is located near the Beach Club, Clubhouse, Equestrian Center, Retail Center, and of course, the Pacific Ocean.

Living in the Crystal House, one is reminded of being part of the environment and ecofriendly culture that is Costa Rica, and the ambiance of the Crystal House illustrates quite clearly that this may be the best opportunity in Costa Rica Real Estate. The other proverb that alludes to the Crystal House is “Having ones cake…” Imagine being able to use an IRA/401k to purchase a dream of Costa Rica Real Estate? The developers of Hacienda Matapalo have coordinated an investment vehicle that drives you to ownership of the Crystal House in a tax sheltered investment that appreciates from the moment you place your deposit.

I would love to live in something like that, although, I would make sure it was on a hefty piece of property so onlookers couldn't easily view my daily routine. As humans, we are a private species by nature. It will be interesting in the years to come to see how the world adapts to the ever increasing population rate and the need for housing and privacy. Of course, there are apartments, and places like this crystal house will be going for a small fortune. Which brings up the question, is it only the rich that can afford to be truly green? How can we bring benefits like this nature-encompassed house to those of a lower economic status?

Also, there are multiple studies that reinforce the fact that surrounding yourself in nature makes a person, calmer, less-stressed, and happier. A crystal house seems like a great way to surround yourself with nature, but have the creature comforts of modernity at the same time.

But you know, to use an old phrase, people in CRYSTAL houses shouldn't throw stones....

or if you are a boondock saint's fan like I am, "People in glass houses sink sh-sh-sh-ships."
  • I'll post the same information to my blog, thanks for ideas and great article.
