Coke Advertises via Wind Power Billboards
How much does a billboard consume as far as energy consumption is concerned? A lot apparently. But for Coca Cola, a company known to invest heavily on outdoor advertising, using other means of energy like let us say “wind power” to power a large billboard in Times Square is certain to draw some attention outside the actual ad.
“Coke said the switch of its billboard alone will be the equivalent of taking 75 cars off roads or converting 38 houses to clean energy for a year,”
There is no doubt that this is a marketing ploy but as long as there is a touch of eco-friendly elements behind it, why not?
