Coke Plant Bottle

Coke has moved from glass to plastic bottles and now it looks like we are in for a green revolution as the famed soft drink company announces the release of bottles made of 30% waste material. The company plans to introduce 2 billion bottles by the end of 2010 which they have calld PlantBottle. It is made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic package and is 100% recyclable.

The company’s goal is to use nonfood, plant-based waste, such as wood chips or wheat stalks, to produce recyclable PET plastic bottles and to create a bottle that is made with 100% plant-waste material while remaining completely recyclable.
