Peaceful Valley Earth Friendly Clothing & Gifts is hosting a national photography contest. “2007 Green Up America” is open to any amateur photographer who likes to think — and shoot — in green.

There are three categories one can enter in: America the Beautiful, Urban Revival and Family Affair, and this year’s goal is to focus on “folks and families working together to beautify and restore natural environments.”“This contest is really aimed at celebrating those folks who are engaged in conservation efforts and glorifying the natural beauty we enjoy,” said Felicia Phillips, Founder and President of Peaceful Valley. “Environmental issues such as global warming, unclean drinking water, toxic chemical and pesticide use, overflowing landfills and many more are incredibly important and prevalent in today’s news. As supporters and encouragers of environmental stewardship, Peaceful Valley recognizes that individuals can make even small changes in everyday life that have big impacts. The Green Up America Photo Contest encourages us collectively to honor the natural beauty around us and those who work to preserve, conserve and restore it.”
