EPA Releases Green Marked Businesses

Taiwan is home to a lot of products ranging from electronics all the way to consumer goods. But the real issue here is the eco-friendliness of these products which can only offer the green marks once proven and given the certification coming from the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA).
This is perhaps an important mark when it comes to making businesses click. Green awareness is an obvious need and for companies that want to retain customer loyalty, going green is the practice to be.
Among the 313 local businesses with EPA-certified “green mark” products, the top three are Tatung Co. (245 items), Hewlett-Packard Co. Taiwan (209 items), and Epson Taiwan (163 items), all of whom are recognized as industry leaders producing eco-friendly products such as air conditioners, refrigerators, printers, laptops, and toner cartridges.
“Those products with our ‘green mark’ are low-pollution, energy-saving, and recyclable,” Yang Ching-hsi, a division chief of the EPA, said in a press conference yesterday.
