SURFING Magazine To Go Carbon Neutral
SURFING Magazine, the world’s leading publication covering progressive surfing, is publishing their second annual green issue this August. Additionally, starting with their October issue, the magazine will be completely carbon neutral.
“The first Green Issue focused on global warming and what that will mean for surfers,” says Evan Slater, editor of SURFING Magazine. “This year, in addition to expanding our coverage of ocean-awareness-related issues, we wanted to make the magazine itself more accountable.”
SURFING Magazine will work with with Carbonfund.org, a non-profit climate change solution provider to purchase carbon credits such as funding mangrove restoration in India, and other conservation projects in the United States and worldwide.
To take this greening project even further, SURFING Magazine is offering advertisers incentives for promoting their own green initiatives.
