Standard and Backpacker Stainless Steel Bottles by Nalgene

by Brian Yalung on Monday, November 10th, 2008

We have heard of the call for using reusable bottles normally made from eco-friendly practices, but the thing about this stainless steel bottles is that they are manufactured without any of the chemically induced adhesives and are simply shaped and made out of customary aluminum.

Most of the containers shown around are normally manufactured with some chemicals like epoxy to go with them. Known as a good alternative to bottled water made from plastic, these aluminum based steel bottle are 100% BPA-free and are made of 100% surgical grade 316 stainless steel with no lining or coating of any type. This is a good item for the people who love to go biking, hiking or simply on the go.

What do you mean by aluminum based steel in the next-to-the-last sentence above? Are the bottles lined with 316 stainless steel only? Where does the aluminum contact the stainless steel? Thanks for your response.
