Lights Out a No Go for Gore and Live Earth

Live Earth, the massive concert planned for July, to bring global awareness to our climate crisis, has gotten a veto on its plan to have a massive “lights out“. Organizer Al Gore, had intended to have people turn off their lights as a symbolic gesture of the negative impact of our apathy towards global warming. “It was meant to create a moment that would resonate round the world and provide a counterpoint to the old fad for holding carbon-emitting cigarette lighters aloft at concerts”.

Britain’s National Grid, has placed a stop to the idea, because they state they cannot measurably handle the surge in power after the proposed switch-off.

The concert organizers will be using an alternative means of getting their main message across to viewers and attendees of this historic event, and will be using satire rock band Spinal Tap, to get the message out. The concerts feature top shelf acts like John Mayer, The Police, John Legend, Black Eyed peas, and headlining the July 7th concert will be Madonna.

Watch for the hilarious video of Spinal Tap for Live Earth in my next post.

Back in 1964, the Secretary of the Interior of that time Stewart L Udall, wrote a book, "The Quiet Crisis" THAT PREDICTED OUR PRESENT PROBLEMS. On his first day, President Fired him, and suppressed every thing that he had written and done.

That book needs to be found, and it's contents made known to the public.
  • Hi---George: I've not heard of this book. Thanxs for the tip.
